Want to Rent or Get Current:

  • If you’re already a pilot and want to rent one of our aircrafts, all you have to do is get checked out by one of our Flight Instructors. 

  • We also offer BFRs(Bi-annual Flight Review) if you haven’t had one within the past 24 calendar months. 

  • If you need Instrument Recurrency, we have CFIIs(Certified Flight Instructor Instrument) that can do your Instrument Proficiency Check and an FAA approved G1000 simulator for your 6 HITS.

California Airways is the San Francisco Bay Area's oldest flight school and flying club established in 1954. Over the past 69 years, we've taught thousands of pilots how to fly. We offer affordable flight training and aircraft rental for pilots of all experience levels, from student pilot through CFI.

If you're seeking an airline career, our Pilot Programs take you from zero flight time through your commercial single and multi-engine certificates, plus all three flight instructor ratings.

We're an FAA-approved Part 141 flight school, and we sponsor international students for the M-1 Student visa. We also offer a pilot shop, and FAA-approved flight simulator that can significantly reduce the cost of your flight training.
